Essential Questions you should ask a Painter

Hiring a painting contractor to paint your new home is a big deal. You need to make sure of the smallest details. The background of the contractor, their earlier contracts & services and whether they are a registered entity or not – are the primary things you need to look out for.

If only we could paint walls! Since we can’t, we should ensure that the ones we are about to hire, can. So, the next time you plan to paint your home, see to it that you clarify your doubts regarding everything with the painting contractors in Chicago.

Here are a few important questions you should never forget to clarify.
  • How long has the painting service provider been in business in Chicago?
  • Are sub-contractors used?
  • How long is the warranty period and are they insured?
  •  Has the company ever received any kind of award for their services?
  • Can the painter or contractor provide references?
  •   Can they offer a picture portfolio of past jobs?
  • Do they maintain cleanliness at work?
  • What brands of paint do they use?
  •  How much wall preparation is included in the estimate?
  • Are they involved in the community?
  •  Is the communication policy in written format in the contract?
  • Are the names of the exact materials used in the painting process specified in the contract?
  •  Are all the workers covered by a full workers compensation policy?
  • Do they test products/methods once a week on an average to ensure that people are getting the latest and greatest choices?
Do not hesitate to ask all of these questions one by one if they are not answered on the official website or in some other form.
